Concrete Cleaning in Clover, SC

Concrete cleaning

For this project, we were asked to do several things, one of which was to clean this dirty concrete. The process we use to clean concrete is much like the process we use to clean a house. We mix our solution of Sodium Hypochlorite and Apple Track surfactant, then pre treating the concrete. The reason we pretreat is because there is organic growth both on and in the pores of the concrete surface that will not be totally removed with water and pressure. If left untreated, the concrete will look clean for a few months, but the green growth will come back immediately. When we pretreat the concrete however, we kill the organic growth so that the concrete is cleaner for much longer when pair with pressure. After pre-treating, we use our surface cleaner and turbo nozzle to clean the concrete surface. Something we do after the concrete is clean is to post treat the surface. This is an extra step that helps to kill any stubborn organic growth that is remaining. We don't rinse the post treat chemical as it will do its job over the course of the next several hours.
